Our expertise will allow us to come up with the best possible solution based on a thorough analysis of the local geography, climate, topography, soil/water table conditions, and depth of foundations. There are three components of any system designed to keep water out.
- Drains to move water away from the bottom of the foundation;
- Wall treatment to prevent moisture from moving through the wall and to route water down to the drains;
- Ground surface treatment adjacent to the building to direct surface water away.
Concrete cracks are not left to be ignored, as they are typically symptoms of drying shrinkage, thermal movement or other causes. A foundation crack may widen over time, resulting in water seepage or possibly the loss of structural integrity. To permanently repair such foundation cracks, a low pressure injection of an epoxy or polyurethane foam is used before waterproofing.
